Fausto at Latin Pride Chicago

I like the flickr video player better than any other I’ve seen out there. It’s clean and simple. So here, as a test, is a short video of my friend Fausto and his brief appearance at the Latin Pride festival in Chicago’s Humboldt Park June 13, 2009. Fausto makes a podcast called the Feast of Fun that runs five days a week with his partner Marc.

New York City street corner

Chicago is great, but from time to time I miss the view from my apartment in New York. Here’s my visual reminder…

Yellow cabs rush through the intersection of 14th St. and Sixth Ave. in New York.

Rufus looked uncomfortable on the red carpet at Cipriani’s on 42nd St. for a benefit for The Paley Center for Media in New York until he started chatting with fans. He came alive and I was able to get this picture of him looking a little less stiff.

Feast of Fun slideshow

My good friends Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion taped the 1000th show of their wonderful gay comedy podcast the Feast of Fun (formerly the Feast of Fools). Check out the photo montage I put together of photos from the over 11-year history of their silly antics. Find out more at their website.

Youtube videos from the “Feast of Fun”

I’ve been shooting some videos and learning a bit about video editing while I was staying with my friends Fausto and Marc after moving back to Chicago from New York a few weeks ago. They produce a fabulous podcast called the “Feast of Fun” in Chicago. Their five-day-a-week show is hugely popular on iTunes and I’ve have the good fortune to be their unofficial “official photographer” for years now. Even when I was in Philadelphia and New York City, I had the chance to photograph them in Manhattan visiting the Sirius Satellite Radio studios and in Chelsea.

Here’s a sample of a recent guest and the corresponding short video snippet (shot with the Canon 5D Mark II):

There are more videos on my Youtube page from the podcast.
