Anna Wintour in New York
I didn’t get eye contact, but I did catch the Most Famous Bob in the World on the red carpet for an AmFAR benefit at Cipriani’s 42nd St. Feb. 12, 2009.

Rufus looked uncomfortable on the red carpet at Cipriani’s on 42nd St. for a benefit for The Paley Center for Media in New York until he started chatting with fans. He came alive and I was able to get this picture of him looking a little less stiff.
Faye Dunaway?
Is this Faye Dunaway? I photographed this woman at the premiere of “Every Little Step,” a documentary about “A Chorus Line” at the Paris Theater in New York April 13, 2009.
Here’s a bit from the Facebook thread:
Wow, Suzanne Vega has let herself GO.
No, I’m serious…who do you think this woman is?
She looks too good to be Faye Dunaway … said with love. SAID WITH LOVE!
that is not faye.
OK..my parents said she looks very much like her, but that she also looked too young to be her.
way too young!
This is definitely not Faye Dunaway. She looks like a theatre person I remember from the 1980s/90s, but can’t honestly think of her name.
Not Faye, alas.
I dunno… sure looks like her to me. I saw her on Grey’s Anatomy recently and I couldn’t get past those crazy cheekbones. These look like the ones I saw. But then who knows…
I think it is her. The relative shape of the front two teeth match another picture out there. So do the cheekbones and the slightly short left eyebrow. Having said this, blond hair suits her oh so much better!
Not her eyes.
Thanks everyone. I have submitted the photo to my agency and warned them to do a little checking on their end before releasing it as her. I’ll let you know what the professionals on the other side of the screen decide!
Doesn’t look like her to me. (The eyes are different.)
very close resemblance of her. Looks like her w/some great ‘work’ done (wink, wink)
she’s got the wintour hair. except it’s not blonde.
Not her. She lives in my neighborhood. She was blonde last time I saw her. She doesn’t smile. If she was screaming insane shit when you took this…I might say it was her.
Wow, Tim that is pretty awesome spy info there. Thanks!
Official word from the agency: It is not Faye Dunaway (but she sure looks like her). Thanks everyone!
“Rock of Ages” premiere

Michael Urie

Rocco Dispirito

Jane Krakowski

Dee Snyder

Patrick Wilson
Zac Efron was a big, fat no-show at the premiere of the “Rock of Ages” on Broadway April 7, 2009. I’m not going to even hide that I was disappointed. So I present you here with my favorites from the shoot. I’m going to have to get my hands on the box set of “Ugly Betty” as Michael Urie might be one of my all-time favorite red carpet photo subjects. It was also pretty cool to see chef Rocco Dispirito as I had seen his reality show “The Restaurant” and thought how cool New York looked when I was living in Chicago. And now here he was making eye contact with my camera. “30 Rock’s” Jane Krakowski was super cute and Twisted Sister lead singer Dee Snyder did not disappoint with his presentation of devil horns and rocker face. Oh ya, James Franco was supposed to be there, too. I wonder if he and Zac decided to hang out together instead of attending! And doesn’t Patrick Wilson from “Watchmen” look exactly like Paul Newman? The bonus photo below is of my friend Jim Glaub of Art Meets Commerce. Jim was on hand to do some of the red carpet video interviews for his company that did a lot of the advertising development and publicity for the production.

Justin Guarini at St. Mark’s Theatre

Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini

Justin Guarini
I admit it wasn’t as cool as a Joe Jonas sighting, but Justin Guarini of the first-season “American Idol” fame was fun to see at a cast photo call at Theater 80 on St. Mark’s in Manhattan March 23, 2009.
From the press release: Set in a Hoboken Circus during the Great Depression, “The Awakening of Angel DeLuna” weaves the enchanting tale of Angelina “Angel” DeLuna, a fallen trapeze star whose faith is tested when a mystical stranger comes to dismantle her beloved carousel. As Angel’s carousel world comes crashing down around her – the lives of the entire circus troupe are forever changed as together they learn what truly matters in life.

“Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester at Lady Footlocker
Leighton Meester stopped by Lady Footlocker in New York’s Herald Square March 7, 2009 to introduce a new shoe called the Top Down for Reebok. The photo crowd was insane and I’m pleased to have come away with some usable shots. It was a beautiful day in New York so the store was full. Thanks to Melissa Pardo from Footlocker for helping out with the arrangements. To license any of the images, please contact the Everett Collection.
Daniel Radcliffe at Sardi’s
Daniel Radcliffe (yes, Harry Potter!) appears at Sardi’s in January 2009 to unveil his caricature and I was there to capture it for the Everett Collection. The artwork was unveiled and it was left to Daniel to be gracious and to comment on how the eyes were indeed blue–and leave it to the crowd to ponder silently how it was a rather poor resemblance. He then signed the piece among a crush of photographers and video crews. I got the all-important star eye contact. Wingardium Cartoonus!
Liz Smith one day before getting fired

The 86-year old columnist said she received a letter from the newspaper stating that they were not going to renew her contract, and she felt sorry that they did not think she was valuable enough to keep her on.
Smith, who was earning $125,000 annually for her column, told reporters that, “I’m busy, I’m ok. I am ok for a person who’s been let go.”
